Thats a trainer...
Rollers are this...

But look at cycleops trainers.
.. Specifically the Fluid2 trainer.
Little pricier, but well made... an excellent trainer.

^^Thats what i use, excellent trainer, never had a problem.
Only difference between this and other trainers is you dont change tension. It pretty well does it for you.

I got mine used off a kijiji-like site, for $200.

New they are in the range of $3-400.
You can buy them at any big bikeshop in town (The Bike Shop, Bow Cycle)

These ones are super cool if you have an unlimited budget (never going to be in my price range). They have real TDF courses as well as games available for them.

On a more realistic level.

There are also a couple of rollers on kijiji, but I could see myself falling down a lot at first learning to start on one.

We have the computrainer at our house and love it. Have had no problems with it in the 10 years we have owned it, with 4 riders now.

my husband wouldn't ever trade! My son is now riding and uploading his race times over the winter to see how is comparing to other teens his age. My husband did remind me that 10 years ago the motor did burn out on the system and they replaced it no questions asked and had it sent over night delivery. They have had amazing customer support the one and only time we used it.
