Nono... 1GB! Vintage! RARE! Collector's Item!!!

:poosie:

Ya... fixed.

Oh ya... put the 'each' in there as well so someone doesn't come to my house expecting 2 drives for that price... (it's happened)

I'm not techno-suave, can you help me figure out if my pc can take SATA style HDs?

If it is compatible I will take one for sure.

How old is your computer? Can you give the motherboard model number?

Can I find this without opening the box on the pc, perhaps looking at the properties section somewhere?

Probably not. How old is this computer? What processor does it have in it (can find that out in the system information)?

In the device manager you should probably be able to find out what the hard drive controller is (that should help).

Try this program. Shows you everything you've got inside the case, and more. Don't copy and paste all the details here as there are things there that you probably don't want to share, like your Windows serial number etc.

Under Main Circuit Board it will tell you the model of your motherboard. There's also a section called Controllers which should say Serial ATA Controller(s) if you have SATA.
