Bored on a Sunday afternoon, and I know this is kinda old, but a quick search yielded no other threads about it.

My brother is a Volvo fanboy and showed me this. Apparently Corvette engines can fit into Volvos, so this "Volvette" has the LS1 Corvette Engine. This is one fast wagon:

I thought he might have...as fast as a Volvo with an LS1 is, to really beat an R1 would be incredible.

yeah I owned an R1, they are pretty fast, and would still be pulling at 165 or whatever it slowed down at....not knocking the volvo, I am impressed with it's speed

I did the same thing w/ an 84 245DL rusty red wagon, a 93' 5.0L w/ a vortex s-trim & a 4.10 9" rear end

I kind of want to get a 740GL again and drop a crazy motor in it.

Great vids

Is it silver? If so this dood pulled up next to me at a red light sometime last year, car sounded MEAN. Had a quick chat with him and then he floored the shieeeeeet out of it when the light went green. WOW WOW WEE WOW!!! Definitely an impressive car!

V8 swaps are apparently fairly common for Volvos, but it still brings a smile to my face seeing one of those bricks flying down the road.

In Germany one of those wagons passed us on the autobahn going atleast 200km/h.

I didn't think they could handle and go that fast. Not sure what motor the German versions had.
