Looking for lease return tips

My 2006 Maxima 3.5 SE lease is up in six months.

Can anyone provide some tips on returning the car (stuff to watch out for, rip offs to avoid)?

The buy-out is just under $16,000.00 - it's unlikely I would be able to sell it and make money (no leather, nav or sunroof).

60,000 km ATM. Will be under 70,000 for sure I think. No cracks on the windshield, but I have some lines from the wiper blades (is there a buff/polish you can get?). There are a few scuffs and scratches on the bumpers from people who can't park. Otherwise car is excellent.

Is Nissan going to contact me?

Get some touch up paint and do the best you can to cover up the scratches on the front bumper. As long as the tire are good, windshield is crack free and there are no major dents or scratches you'll be fine.

seriously, tires and windshield are two important ones.. and door dings.. and if I remember correctly they could look at the brakes

small stratches are expected over the course of a few years so I wouldnt worry
