Shit, my dad's got one of these things. Can't wait to see it on the roads.

My first was a '99 Metro. Miss her quite terribly, but she went to a good family.

carp? You traded it for a fish? :)

My first car was a '74 Ford Maverick. While I'm older than most of you, it was still an old car when I got it. My father wanted me to buy it for nostalgic reasons; he used to have one brand new back in the day....

Anyway, after it completely lost its brakes going down the 2nd steepest hill in Kamloops, I decided to get rid of it. Replaced it with my first "sports car"... a 1981 Supra. lol.

I saw one exactly like it several years ago. Same colour, wheels, and even a dent just like that one in the rocker area.

1977 Datsun 200SX - an unbelievably ugly thing that my Dad decided I should buy. Very tough car though - would be kind of neat to have one to kick around now.

1980 Chev El Camino is the first car/truck/??? I found and bought and it is "still" in my garage - getting to be a very rare item. Feels pretty weird driving it now though - literally floats (very soft ride) and has almost impossible to source tires now (225/60R14's). No computers, no air pollution stuff, roll up windows, hand activated footwell vents, 2 pumps to start when it's cold and has to be kicked down to get it out of it's fast idle. Also, so different to open up the hood and actually see just an engine.

I really miss mine too, sometimes at night I have dreams that I still own it, it's weird. :nut:

Had it completely rebuilt and tuned by RX7 Specialties, way back when their garage was still in an alley.

mine was the first a very good tuning shop back home had ever worked on. Also when I went and got my tint the guy actually said bring me some timmies once in a while and i'll do it for free since he'd worked on only one before ever and loved them. All in all I miss that car more than my ek, more than my integra, more than my accord and definitely more than my ford. I think I would honestly trade my Legend straight up for a good condition fc rx7 hehehe. As long as it would be a 1991 hehe. Hard to find now though....

1989 Ford Probe. First mod was rear window louvers, had it painted Dodge Viper red (1996) put on some Killer 6 inch wide vinyl racing stripes (1997), 15" ASA 9 spoke wheels, wrapped in Yokohama A520 rubber, sporting a Dynomax muffler for which I paid $450. They saw me coming a mile away.

Car handled great, owned it for 6 years put 120,000kms on it and have never owned a car longer.

1990 maroon 240sx hatch,

first one in high school to get a ricer ractive muffler... one pipe all the way from the headers, who knew a n/a KA24E could blow fire  (this was in 1999 mind you, the first fast and furious 2 years away!). Blue lights in the footwells and on the headliner attached to the subwoofer terminals for that flashing 'club effect' lol

frame rail had a rust hole the size of a pizza pop, had to whack the starter to get it cranking on hot summer days, o-rings were leaking gas fumes into the car since day one.

But learnt how to drive rwd/manual tranny with it during 4 winters (with bald all seasons for 3 of those) and got me through grad camp too! the only idiot driving on the indian graves bumpy gravel road in a 'sports car'.
