I was doing some looking around here at work. I guess pontiac which is what holden is down there was going to release a G8 version just like this one, but then it gt cancelled.

Holden also makes a G8 type car called the Bathurst VXR8 which is a 6lt spercharged V8 Vauxhall. It sounded very cool on top gear with the supercharger.

Umm no... I see avalanches at oil rigs all the time, good luck taking that thing off the pavement. And you aren't getting 2 dirtbikes in that thing easily (is it ever rated for that weight, let alone their size). Unless they were z50's.

The people that buy those arent going to take them off roading. There made for hauling small things around during the week and then touring or having fun on the weekends.

Both have hardly any storage, but this has less seats and can't go off road. whoopty do.

They are rated for that weight. A heavy bike weighs 300 lbs, plus (at most) 200 lbs of gear.
I agree that you can't take it off road, so only 5% of truck buyers will be affected.

The payload is 800-1200 lbs, stated on the ford website

People arguing the utility of a Ute are missing the point.

It's a sports car (more accurately a touring car, really) with a truck bed so you can haul a bit of junk around if you need to.

Besides, who would want to take this to a job site or an oil rig? Everyone who hangs around those places KNOWS that the size of your penis is directly proportional to the size (and inefficiency) of your truck.
