sounds like the battery is on it's way out. Are the lights very dim when you crank it, can you hear the starter turning over?

when you put the key to ACC do you hear 3 clicks from the dash? If not the main relay is most likely faulty.

Also if the starter clicks but does not turn the engine over that is a problem and the starter is faulty. A faulty main relay will make the car crank it will just not fire up.

Have you tryed just to jump it form a nother car?

I would say no, only because you just got the car. I am thinking the guy that sold it knew about the battery draining. Now that you have charged the battery see how long it takes to drain it.

If you have a multimeter i would try a few tests before you go out and get a new battery.
