The 4 yr/80,000 km km Distributor's Warranty coverage on my 2006 TL with 56,000Kms is expiring.

What are people's opinion on purchasing the extended warranty?

Thanks

It's an post 2002 Acura. Should be solid. No need 4 it. Even more solid if it has a 4 banger.

What is the cost of extending it?

It is a Acura Extended Security Plan, I think it will cost around $1300 for 5 year 100,000km.

Probably a waste of money unless these cars have a history of needing shit replaced. Honestly my family has had many cars, Toyotas, Hondas, Subarus all past 100,000kms with virtually no problems except for basic maintenance.

Only cars I would consider getting it on are the damn European, BMW, MB, Audi etc. cause who the fuck knows with these cars.

Has the car been pretty reliable for you? They are pretty bulletproof cars, but at only $20 a month, it might be worth it for just the piece of mind.

Is this extending it another 5 years and 100,00km or just up to 5 yrs and 100,00?

If its the whole new 5 years adn 100,000km go for it, 1300 is a steal.

I wouldn't worry about it, I don't think you're going to get problems before 100k.
