I used to be crazy about it but decided that it's just more crap in house that I have no room for. So now I only pick up odd Maisto I find at SuperStore.

I collect 1/18 only.

I have almost all Ferraris since the 80s up til the Enzo, Japanese Sport cars of the 90s, 300ZX, Supra, NSX, RX7 and odd Porsches and DTM cars.

Probably around 70-80 in all.

Only a few Autoart and Kyosho cost me major $$$. The rest are around $15-$40 range.

What company makes good models for a decent price? I saw a shop at the Palazzo that sells diecast models, but most of the prices were ridiculous, $200 and up for most smaller ones and the quality didn't look that nice.

As for my collection, I have an Ferrari F50, '86 911, Ferrari 360, 911 GT1 and a Lamborghini Countach.

None really. Attention to deal, Kyosho is best but you pay for it. Autoart is decent depends on the model. Some cars like Ferrari are exclusive to certain makers (Mattel) so they cost a bundle for a pretty crappy model.

Maisto is the worst, basically toy cars but still looks decent far away. But usually can be had for $15 to $20.

When you say Palazzo, do you mean the Lambo store @ Palazzo in Vegas? Yeah, it's not cheap there.

1:18 are pretty expensive to collect IMO. Ebay got the choices but expensive. Local shop has a high markup which is understandable because distributors usually don't let you choose what you get. So you end up with quite a few crap models that nobody wants.

Anyone wash theirs?

I routinely wash all my cars by hand with warm water and a small amount of liquid tide.

I have quite the collection going on but over time theyre getting dinged up. Will start replacing soon I guess if I can find them.

I'm always looking to expand :D

I have over 60 of them - mostly Porsches and all 1:18 scale. I believe I have almost all the 917's and some are signed by the drivers. I also have some 935's, 956's, 962's and GT1's. Some of my other makes are an F40, 288 GTO, a bunch of NSX's and RX7's and of course the infamous 787b.

I also have pictures of me with the actual cars that I have models of which I think is pretty cool.

Dont have pics right now but my collection consists of:

1/18 scale:

2001 Burns/Reid Subaru Impreza WRC
1995 Bobby Rahal Lola Indycar
1995 Ferrari F355 Spyder
1996 Pontiac Trans AM
1992 Dodge Viper

1/24 scale:
Ferrari F50
Jaguar XJ220
Audi TT

1/43 scale:
2009 Acura TL  cant believe they made diecast of these... got them free at the Formula SAE competition in California last year.

The WRC car and the Indycar are in a plastic case so it's really easy to clean and to wipe the dust away... the other cars however are on the shelf and i've been getting lazy with cleaning so theres a nice thick layer of dust on em. I used to have a bunch more diecasts when I was a kid but I was horrible at taking care of them and most of them got destroyed. (for example, I would simulate car crashes between cars)

I have a bunch of 1/64 cars and a few 1/24 Bburago screw-together model kits (which almost always have some piece wrong/mis-fit that needs correction). I also have a stack of models that I have to finish (Subaru XT6, Galant VR4, El Camino, Corvair Monza, Isuzu Impulse RS, '02 WRX).

I'm looking for a WRX wagon but as far as I can see only Autoart makes one and it's the bugeye STI wagon. It would be cool to see an SVX model as well but I think only Norev made one.

On the 1/64 side, I'm looking for a Datsun 240Z Hot Wheel to go with my (growing) collection of 1/64 Datsun 510s.

Is there anywhere good to order Tomica? I tried TinyToyCars.com (http://www.tinytoycars.com/) but they suddenly ran out of pretty much everything in inventory.

dang I wish I didn't have a stupid work filter so I could see all your cars / post up my own.

I've got a couple of autoarts.......I should be able to post pics when I get home.

#23 Toyota 2000GT
#17 (I think?) Porsche 917

I would really really really like to find a good quality ST205 diecast, but much like the actual car, they're kind of all faded into the background and no one seems to care.

These shows up in Costco/Superstore may be once in a bluemoon. Usually goes goes for $20-$30 when on sale.

Toy grade. Very little craftsmanship and you can tell by the uneven gaps.

Found that on ebay about a year ago. It was funny because I couldn't find one in a 1/24 scale for the life of me and then found this one and was so stoked. Took a look recently and now there are HEAPS floating around on ebay and they also have them in black.
