I have for sale a 3 year old DELL XPS GEN 5 the specs are as follows:
Just so everyone knows I'm putting this FS thread up early and won't be ready to sell it until around the
17th-18th. (Would be earlier but I'm going away from the 13th-16th for snowboarding :)
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (I can format the hard-drive and do a fresh install for you so its like you bought a new computer)
CPU: Pentium 4 HT 3.2GHZ (Never overclocked, I think you could get it up to 3.5GHZ on the stock cooler don't take my word for it though)
RAM: 4GB (4 x 1GB) Kingston 6400 ram (Upgraded from 2GB)
Video Card: ATI HD 3870 512MB DDR4 (This was upgraded from an 850xt PE that was originally installed)
CD-RW Drive
DVD-RW Drive
500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue Harddrive - with 2 year warranty from memory express (If I can find the receipt
:banghead: )
THE MONITOR/KEYBOARD/MOUSE/SPEAKERS WILL NOT BE INCLUDED
It can still play a lot of games although not on the highest settings, but a few of the newer games it struggles with. If you upgrade to one of the newer
ATI 5000 series cards it should be handle new games pretty well for atleast a year or so. (the PSU on this is only 450w or something and only 1 6pin power connector so don't try to install one of the 5800's the 5770 would be a great candidate for this computer though) You could get the 650w power supply from dell parts and you would be good to go get a higher-end video card, but at that point you should ugprade the CPU aswell as it would be a bottleneck. (I reccomend an intel Pentium 4 670 HT 3.8GHZ)
350$ OBO pick-up only
Click to enlarge (HUGE PIC SORRY)
Also if you go into the BIOS menu at start-up you can light up the front shield 7 different colors or turn it off completly if you prefer.
