On Today (friday jan 8th) until sunday (jan 10th)
@ BMO center - stampede park

support your local enthusiasts and go out and participate in a great event.

I went in 08 and it was a great show, and I saw a ton of cool demos (trial, motox etc)

check it out

Even if you don't own a bike, it's a great experience to just go down and see what is out there. Anyone can appreciate the art.

So what kinda show is this? I mean do they have all the new upcoming bikes and stuff? All makes from over the world? I am needing a new bike for summer am thinking this might be a good way to familiarize myself with what's new and upcoming.

BTW, a thread was already made a little before this one. Perhaps a mod can merge the two.

I would argue this forum is a better spot to advertise rather than a devoted motorcycle section.

Not sure what possessed me to check your posts in various threads, perhaps hoping to find one post that was of any help to anyone...........
Guess what, not one was worth reading.
Thanks for your continued contributions to Beyond.

My little brother is down at the motorcycle show this year promoting his driving school so I am hoping to check out the show.

I went down and reinforced that I want the FRJ-1300 over the Honda and Kawasaki. It just feels gooooooood. I sat on it for like 10 minutes and daydreamed, just about made all the little vroom vroom noises. Now if someone would just by my Katana! :nut:

My grandma is in critical health this weekend... so I was in Saskatoon. :(
I wish (what happened) never did, and I could go to this show. Sounds like I missed out bigtime. :thumbsdow

sorry to hear that. You didn't miss too much, same as last year. The only new models I liked were the new BMW 1000RR, BMW F800R, and the new Ducati Streetfighter. I can't think of any other notable new releases

^ How are the new BMW bikes? I never (EVER) thought BMW had what it took to make a very competitive sportbike.
I can't wait to see what how the match up against the Jap, Italian & English sportbike makers.

Im interested in getting one, but knowing BMW (motorcycle) maintenance, Im quite leary. They've had quite a history of being twice the maintenance & half the performance of its Jap counterparts. :thumbsdow

I missed out as well :(
That's what I get for waiting for my stupid arse of a brother and not going when I could. lol:facepalm:

I checked out the show yesterday. Japanese stuff was same old...

I enjoyed the KTM and Duc booths the most, but I was quite impressed with the BMW superbike. It looks a lot like the Japanese litre-bikes but with trick parts.

The Ducati Streetfighter is badass....

Quite enjoyed the stunt show by Jason Britton and the freestyle motocrossers. Gotta love backflipping motorcycles
