Saw this a lunch today. I died a little inside watching him take it through a piece of crap brush car wash.

I see this parked at the safeway downtown on 8th street from time to time. Saw it just a couple days ago covered in dirt/salt. Pretty pimp beater.

one can only hope its a GTO kit car, it's probably real :( but iirc they're not that expensive these days, that is one of my favorite Ferraris, i've had a die cast Burago 1/18 Group B GTO model since i was really young, was my favorite out of the 30+ sitting on the shelf.

edit, it's a 308 actually isnt it? even less expensive i think.

The owner must be a baller on a different level to not care about that beautiful car.

Must be a winter beater.

Id drive it in the winter. IMO cars are meant to be driven/used.

Props to driving it year round (I've seen him on and around Glenmore/Crowchild), but i cant believe the micro marring (thanks 2EFN) his paint is going to receive from the brush wash. That much dirt, mixed with the dirty ass brush deserves a major face palm. Why not wand it? Go touch-less at least...

haha this guy lives by my parents house, always see him driving in it in the winter. He has done so for the last 4 years iirc, he drives it in the summer as well. I think it may be his only car, younger guy drives it most of the time, and i have seen his dad drive it on occasion.
I dont know how much money that old of a car would be worth currently. It migt be justafiable to drive a ferrari that age all year round :dunno:

I see this on quite a regular basis. I think its pretty sweet he drives it personally.

It is sweet to see him driving it. It sucks to see that he takes a brush to that gorgeous red paint job. Personally one of favorite Ferrari designs. I don't think I would drive it in the winter simply because of the materials it is made of. AFAIK Calgary uses salt on the roads, and that destroy a car pretty quick.

this dude lives like 5 houses from me.. drives it as a daily man.. old guy? iv talked to him a couple times... to be honest they arnt that expensive anymore..:dunno:

Meh, I saw a gtr on the roads a couple weeks ago when it was really bad. Made me wonder if launch control on ice would still work/void the warranty.

Man...that wash kills me a little inside. But I don't see it being a problem that he's driving it all year round, cars are meant to be driven.

is that a brush wash, or touchless?

It's a nasty ass brush wash. I work next door and we have nicknamed it "the mangler".

I posted a picture of it in another winter beater thread. The car is a 328 and not a 308. I spoke the owner at a gas station once. He was older and very soft spoken. The car had some paint damage on the drivers side front fender - looked like a tire mark/scrape.

Haha totally agree, ugly slow ass shitbox. As for them being cheap, sure to buy used but the maintenance is horrible.

Yeah you can see from the pic that there is one visible blue brush there. But yes, brush washes suck.

I guess I am a child of the 80's because Magnum PI was one of my favorite shows and I would like a nice 308 in the garage some day.

Not his only car. He parked in my parkade downtown. I believe he's got a jag too for the summer but mostly drives that Ferrari. Yes, winter drives it but he does drive it carefully, watched him angle it into the on ramp a few times.

Me too! I loved seeing the Ferrari rip around.. Little did I know how painfully slow those cars are haha

I'd have a 328 4 valver in a heartbeat.

haha... replica, nice.

Ferrari would probably shit their pants if they ever saw one of their cars in a cosmetic condition like that, being driven in these awesome conditions. ;)

You guys feel bad for the car?

its meant to be driven. Like I know that is a tired argument, but if he/she can afford to drive it in the winter. Do it up, IMO :dunno:

I've seen tons of Bentleys, Porsches, Audi R8.

Cars worth more than the lowly 308.

Still love that car though.

I figured it was a kit. Who would do a kit of a 308 GTS tho? Thats kina gay. At least do the GTO or something. If you are a real big Magnum PI fan then sure I guess.
