I bought a 2001 Ford Focus SE for $400 dollars!!! I picked it up from a nice old lady from airdrie. of course it had some issues. the clutch was near burnt out an finallly the worst of the damage. someone crashed into the drivers side of the Focus. but asfter spending some time an looking over damage reports an her insurance company. the car was deemed not a write off or salvage. so with a quick trip down to pick an pull and $90 later i got two next to new doors an mirror. i also managed to track down a center force clutch for $175CDN. anyways ill post some pics lemme know what you think.

peace.

No airbags deployed? That's pretty sweet deal. Lucky!! Even 90 bucks for those doors at PnP are a steal. I'm pretty jealous as I've bought so many not worth while things for more than $400 bucks. Nice beyond sticker too!

You going to keep the doors like that or paint it?

great find man  new paint and you'll have yourself a pretty decent little car for well under $1500. kinda reminds me of how my dad (born and raised as a mechanic) buys cars haha.

lol i hear ya there man, my dads a old school mechanic so that kinda why I jumped at this offer.

yeah i was surprised that was no air bag deployment aswell. as for paint im either going to match the doors or just redo the whole car painted a nice midnight black. plus im the third owner of this Focus, serviced at cam clarke ford in airdrie, since new.

I got my wife a 96 escort in great shape for $300 with a broken timing belt, put the $30 belt in it changed the oil and been using it for 15,000 kms. car only had 120,000 on it when I got it.

Nice find on the focus. for sure. great daily driver

PM if you want the serive manual for that car. Clutch jobs are fairly horrific on that car. good buy none the less.
Check to see if the recall for the front springs has been done yet aswell.
Also if it starts to hesitate under acceration then it needs a new fuel pump.

Any other questions just PM me I know the focus like the back of my hand:thumbsup:

Lol I did the EXACT same thing with a 2000 Focus wagon.

It had damage on 2 of the driver side doors. The person was driving it like it was.

They had it for sale for 975 dollars.

I offered and bought it for 500, got 2 doors (one from PnP, one from someone parting out a car) had them paint matched and everything done for $973 including the price of the car!

The car already had brand new front struts, and brand new Bridgestone tires - and I mean brand new tires.....

Those focuses aren't bad beaters, cheap to maintain too.

Good find and good work!

yeah luckily, the black two tone was a very very common color for them lol.

nope my aunt called me up and said that her friend had a slightly damaged car that she could'nt sell. seeing how my winter beater was dead an there's no way in hell im driving my 96 gt mustang on these roads. but yeah i think i'll be keeping this one around for awhile. also forgot to mention has a brand new set of hankook ultra grip 2 with near 100% tread left. bout time i got something newer.
