Won a share of first place in a fatloss contest at work, and my reward to myself was replacing my Northern Lights Roman chair with this Sorinex FNGHD. I needed something that was bolt together as my gym is in the storage room in my basement next to the furnace and w/d and a one-piece unit wouldn't fit down the stairs or through the door. It was shipped in three boxes with a total weight of ~170lbs, this thing is an absolute beast. Took about 30 mins to put together, the parts fit together perfectly and the powder coat finish looks rugged and durable. They even included extra parts (nuts/washers) just in case.

Beefy and rock solid with no movement, no squeaks, no wobbles. The thigh pads are a tad firm, but they should break in nicely with use. Adjustment is very quick, unscrew the lock nut, pop the pin, the foot pads slide nice and smooth. The height of the foot roller is not adjustable on this unit, neither is the spacing between them, but the unit is fully functional as is, and those bells and whistles would be hard to find on any unit in this price range. Foot plate felt a tad small with barefeet, but should be better with shoes.

This is the last major piece of my home gym, can't wait till my boys are old enough to start training with me.

=O 170lb? That's monstrous. Must be a solid piece of kit.

The NL roman chair was around 60lbs and feels like a toy compared to this thing. Only problem, no more excuses for my shitty deadlift :(

Here is a video by David Tate talking about certain points of the GHR and things to look out for

Just found that vid this morning myself. Here's an article from EliteFTS (http://www.elitefts.com/documents/glute_ham_raise.htm) by Dave Tate on the glute ham raise.

3x12 GHRs and my legs are jello. Getting very comfortable on the unit, quads are getting used to the pads and my toes are ok hanging off the end of the footplate. GH situps feel great too.
