As long as it's someone reasonably famous and you answer the questions somewhat accurately it's really good at guessing the right person.

Fun game! Here's a few that I tried and how many questions it took... I never gave "I don't know" as an answer to any of the questions...

Serge Gainsbourg -- 20 (obvious by the last few questions that he was really closing in)

Shirin Ebadi -- 34 (did make one erroneous guess first through around 20...initially guessed Germaine Greer)

Bret Hart -- 17 (program seemed to suspect this one almost right away)

Ofra Haza -- 20 (seemed to close in on this one pretty quickly)

Omar Khayyam -- 18 (really shocked by this one! Last question was "is your character Muslim" and I said "probably not" then boom!)

I finally stumped him with Nellie McClung -- at 20 it guessed Emma Goldman (not a bad guess), at 30 he guessed Thekra (getting cold), and at 40 he guessed Ayn Rand (asshole).

It's just process of elimination, with a database containing attributes of a whole whack of people. 20 yes/no questions will isolate a single item out of 1m possibilites.

Haha yep, but what I find most impressive is that it takes in all user feedback (did it guess correctly / incorrectly), what the answer was if unable to find anyone in 40 questions, then feeding it back into the database to make it even more accurate!
