The Tire Warehouse Presents:

EDMONTON DRIVEN 2010 August 7 at the Mayfield Trade Centre. The FIRST POST will be updated latest info.

Some things to look forward to:

3 Zones:
- a New Night themed Hall, Lights off for those who prefer the HIN feel. This will be known as the Entertainment Zone
- a New performance themed Hall, Tech session's held by Subject Matter Experts, exhibitors displaying newest products and selling merchandise. This is the Performance Zone
- The outdoor lot will be used for additional space, a more grassroots area for people who just want to show off their rides but not pay for judging and trophies. We will not run out of space this year (apologies to those we turned away last year). This is the Meet Zone and is sponsored by 780Tuners.com

Registration will start in May for show cars. Car clubs and Exhibitors can reserve space now.

We look forward to hearing all your suggestions.

Space will not be an issue this year. We are planning an outdoor "Meet Zone" For car clubs to meet. No judging but that means no min. requirements as well. So you can be lightly modified or under construction and still be ok.

Great opportunity for Car Clubs to have annual meets and get more exposure! Cost will be your Ticket to the show.

Calling MR2 Guru's of Calgary

anyone interested? there is the MEET ZONE outside where your car entrance fee is your personal entrance fee.. no judging just a place for everyone to meet up like a weekly meet.. but bigger... there is already huge turn ups from the Edmonton guys and the Edmonton MR2 guys would like to extend a welcoming hand from you!

fromm wat im told..

there will be venue's inside for the more hot rides like yours... the venue outside is for the ppl who dont have such a super sexy ride but is also just a meet zone

i believe teh cars will be placed in the HIN zone... and the car companies in the performance zone..

clubs like MR2 club can have their booth set up in any venue inside or out..

i was told thats in the works as well.. and will be more spaced apart from the edmonton one.. and that there will be bunch of us from edmonton comin down for that as well..

the show coordinator wants participation from both cities.. which would make a great show.. since now they are adding additional features to the event like the HIN style and outdoor meetzone with parts and service vendors

The calgary show will be similar to Edmonton's show, other than the "Club Zone" will be all indoors.

Club zone is for car clubs who wish to register and have their cars at the show, but they will not be judged and therefor do not have to meet show requirements.

All cars in the performance zone must meet requirements, and will be judged.

My mr2 will be in Calgary, I will be judging though, so my car is not eligible therefore I will have it in the club zone if 780tuners or garage works throws in a club that would work nicely..

You judging both the Calgary and Edmonton shows? It's good to have a fellow tuner judging, last years judges, although their work is appreciated, really knew nothing about what it takes to build a car.

I'm just doing Calgary's show, depending on what my car looks like come August I might want it to be judged so I will not be judging Edmonton. I also have 0 chance winning in Calgary lol.

The judges will for the most part be most of the same guys, who are tuners, the guys judging last year were from 780 tuners, so the 780 booth cars were for the most part all their cars so they were tuners. I have a feeling Calgary will be very tough to judge because of the sheer amount of quality cars, where as Edmonton was easy. We will have to look at how many MR2's are at this show, and possibly if we have enough trophies make an MR2 class.

Other classes your car could compete in would be:

Car of show, Toyota of show, best race prep, best engine, and i think they had a jdm class in edmonton... not rhd class, but best jdm built. I'll wait for the doc's from mark and see what they have listed.
