I have a friend that just bought a car and was told there was no accidents. Going through the records we found $$$$ of damage in a invoice. Car Proof didn't come up with anything either. So I'm guessing the car was fixed cashwise or who knows. He would really like to get his hands on some pictures of the damage as the owner says he was never in an accident and has owned the car since new.

I have the claim number/office location/claims adjusters name.

I'm not sure how you think you're going to get any information from Monnex. Are you thinking that there was a claim on this vehicle that was handled by Monnex? If so they aren't going to release any of that information to anyone other than their original insured (customer) who I'm guessing is the previous owner.

Wow...I'm very surprised that Monnex would put themselves at risk of being sued over privacy issues.

I sense BS in this thread ..... no insurance company will give a random stranger access to another person's records so blatantly.

Well this certainly opens some doors!

Bill, could you please post some pics you have on file? I'm feeling like some funny ones today, you know the type; car ends up perched on something, or maybe an upside down in the river...! that type of thing.. Maybe tomorrow the theme will be total destruction, and I wanna see gore!

You impersonated the original owner from whom the car was purchased?

I agree, such a dumb move on the person who released the info. I bet he just got lucky and spoke to an inexperienced claims assistant...cause I would never do it. Or the person just never took the time to verify his identity.

I actually talked to a supervisor/Manager whoever. The person who first awnsered said there not sure if they could do that. Put me on hold and the next guy helped me out. I even found out theres warranty on the workmanship performed.

i thought warranty was only for the one who owned the car while the repair was done?

Workmanship warranty from the shop is only for the owner of the vehicle at the time of the repairs, not the life of the vehicle and whomever owns it down the road.

Either someone at Monnex is at risk of getting fired or you're not telling us the whole / real story.

lol...I actually don't get to see too much in the way of the interesting stuff. That's more for the adjusters.

Maybe Tom_9109 is willing to share some files from the office?

Then maybe we could help Tom find a new job!

I can share this. Can't share the owners name or any of that stuff but I think I'm okay since I own my company and took the picture myself and would have the rights to it. Its pretty rare to actually have a picture of anything interesting, they're always towed from the scene.

This ones a high speed rollover. I mean very high speed.

Well then if thats the case that someone can get fired for helping someone help then I will NOT post pictures and drop the subject. We ended up buying the car anyways so its not a big deal its just one of those things you want to know.

Thanks guys either way.
