Saturn Ion starting problems

Hello,

My girlfriend has a Saturn Ion and pretty much every morning when she goes to start it, it wont start and gets a car with a lock on it. Im assuming this is an anti-theft feature or something, but it happens every time she starts it and I always have to drive her to work and pick her up. Anyone have any expereince with this and if so, anyone know a solution.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Does the vehicle have an aftermarket remote starter in it?

What is the year of your Ion?

Yea as Stugari said the year would be nice. Assuming you do not have a car starter, the ignition switch might have gone....which is a BIG problem with these cars. There is no recall on this issue and there are TONS of saturn ion owners with the same problem you seem to have....A quick google search and this is what i found, hopefully it will be of help. http://www.carsurvey.org/reviews/saturn/ion/r97727/comments/

its a 2003, and that is kind of shitty considering saturn isnt around anymore!!
i just googled it as well, there is sooooooooooo much out there


and no after market remote starter

just because saturn isnt around, doesnt mean that GM doesnt have the parts for them.

GM is responsible for any warranty issues regarding the Saturns.
I had an ION and never had an issue with it.

I knew a couple buddies with the ignition issue, and its a heft price tag i believe
