Tire question

Car comes stock with 225/45/17 tires.

Is it ok to run 215/45/17 winter tires on it. It would be from now until end of winter.

Surely you've heard of the miata site for comparing tire sizes:

Going from a 225 to a 215, you're losing .4" in overall diameter, so not even half an inch. Speedo would be out by 1.4%. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me...

And Benyl's right, that suggestion would be closer to your stock size.
