Just picked these up at can tire, for 10 bux.

Just a heads up! I've been putting off buying some due to their 40-60 dollar price range (didn't REALLY need em)... Alas!

Crack nuts off with a wrench first, they don't hold alot of torque for long...
otherwise, pretty handy

They have a 4 set combo, one side is open end, the other ratchet end. Seem very sturdy and well built.

So I bought the four pack for $100. Reg. $350 if bought separately. SMOKING deal.

1 metric regular, 8-19mm
1 metric stubby, 8-19mm
1 imperial regular 1/4-3/4
1 imperial stubby 1/4-3/4

Snatched up a couple sets for Xmas, I think they still may have that deal on now:dunno:

Not to be a tool Nazi, but these wrenches are pretty uses unless you are working on a lawn mower or anything with decently exposed nuts.

i bought a set of these years ago when they were on sale back then, and all they have ever done is sit in my tool box unused

ratcheting wrenches on the other hand... those are priceless

either way enjoy your new tools:thumbsup:

yeah thats a smoking deal, considering the appliances they use to cast these are snap-ons' own design. they are pretty much snap on wrenches with Mastercraft stamping...

I got a Craftsman set years ago and find them real handy. The Canadian Tire price is great

Yeah I was there a month ago and they had that special on yet again, also for another two week period. :dunno:
I was tempted to pick up a few more sets.

My friend had picked me up both sets last time they were on sale. Good tools sofar. I was going to get that socket bit set today but instead picked up 5x1L of the 0w30 syntec that was on for $6.99.

These and stubby wrenches are life savers. Always love the CT deals.

I've used both and there is no comparison. The Gearwrenches are FAR better. I almost use mine more than my ratchets now. Watch for them to go on sale Sears for $50, their set is more complete. The Can Tire sets are always missing 1 or 2 very common sizes.

They've also got a super cheap multimeter ($14, reg $50) which I just picked up along with these.

Just a bump and a heads-up, the Hunterhorn Plaza Canadian Tire has a few of those promo 4-packs left for $119.88 each, a bit more than the $100 Graham paid but still a very good deal. They're not in the regular wrench section, they're in a clearance area in the back aisle between the paint section and outdoors section. The shelf tag says $359 but they scan as $119.88. Grabbed a set for myself, really nice wrenches!
