Anyone have any thoughts on this specific product? I am not looking for anything with remote unlock (no power locks), and remote start isn't an issue either.

Just looking for the best security system in this price range with an ignition disabler should someone get in the car.

Appreciate your input, thx.

If you want cheap, wire up a fuel pump kill switch, so cheap and easy and hidden. Noones stealing your car unless they know where its at

If your just looking for basic alarm, maybe look into Compustars?

Personally i would go with the viper. I prefer compustar over due to customer review but i am having a viper installed so when the iphone application becomes available in canada ill be all ready.

Not if this doesnt matter to you then go compustar. Also dont forget it will be about $200 for install.

Install is included in price. Adding modules to bypass factory security is NOT.

if its near the same price as the compustar, you are wasting your money buying a viper.

Ask the installers what the better one is. We will all agree.

The reason i had mentioned i would opt for the viper was the iphone interface. The compustar doesnt have anything similar nor has anything planned for a future upgrade. Not that is public anyways.

Usually all alarms are including BASIC install. I had meant +$200 over and above. This will account for things like immobilizer bypass, keyless entry, window control and trunk unlock.
