I guess the no windtunnel and CFD only "ghetto" approach by Virgin and Branson isn't paying off... they're like 10 seconds off the pace everyday.

That and the whole "front wing wants to fall off of car" issue.

With a grand total of 13 laps in the car I don't imagine either driver has had a chance to come close to pushing the limits of the car. That said, they're right where I expect them (and Campos, USF1, Lotus...) to be.

Remember that last year's car can do ~1:17 at Jerez, so the times are completely meaningless right now. It's so tough to tell how anyone is doing because fuel weights can vary laptimes by > 6 seconds.

A lot of teams are testing low fuel by running out of fuel on the track (hence the many red flags) but they're doing the runs at reduced throttle/reduced revs, so we have yet to see an actual low fuel ultimate lap.

Mercedes haven't even used their 2010 aero parts yet, they're STILL using a modified 2009 diffuser.

That's why there hasn't been much talk about testing. It's all speculation right now, and you saw how wrong we all were last year (with the exception of BrawnGP predictions).

Here are some shots, interesting to see the different shape of the noses. Most cars have a really wide and high nose. The Lotus almost loos like last years car. The narrower tyre is also apparent.
