Thought i would post up some pictures of some side projects that i work on outside of my own car and or school.. let me know what you guys think.. this is just a few that i have done within the last couple months :)

Hey the paint is really durable, i recommend clear coating over top of it though to protect the actual drawing.. :D

When I looked at it I thought it was sick, especially the fender. But then I looked at it more and relized it was just a bunch of randomness with wavy lines and gross arrows. But keep in mind im also a perfectionist when it comes to my art, along with others. Not my cup of tea, But Id give it an A+ for originality :thumbsup:

The car was in an accident... thats why a chunk was missing, and why he let him draw on the factory paint. The hood was on vinyl wrap.

yes we vinyl wrapped the BMW hood and drew on it so that it was completely reversible. The Fender was already fucked so i took the marker to it.. :D

nice man, my stuff is all improve and freehand.. same idea with the sharpie lambo... by all mean i could do it with a ruler but it wouldnt be the look i was going for..

I would have to agree.
Sometimes you need to take a step back to admire a piece of art.

I find that painting and non clean lines must be admired from a distance.
But all in all the hood looks most amazing in the first whole car shot. The gold matches with the white very well.

really dependant on the piece hoods range in time though.. 10-15hours start to finish etc... helmet is about 3-4hours... and the pens are oil based so they dry permanent and will cure on a piece of 3m... :poosie:

As an art student and employee of an art supply shop, I'm just curious as to your medium. I've seen some of your work in person at the big cruise last weekend, pretty cool. Judging from you last post, it sounds like you are using paint pens. What kind? Your golds are looking pretty opaque, I'd be curious if they were sharpies or a different brand.

And for those wondering about durability, I also use paint pens for art purposes and can vouch for them. Because I work on plexiglass, I get alot of finger prints on them and it's annoying, but the paint (as it is oil based) will stand up to water and even ammonia (windex) without comming off at all. If you want it off, you gotta get it while it's still fresh or you can scratch it off with a knife. But no one's gonna do that to their hood.
