Its like any other long-exposure. Leave the shutter of the camera open for a long time on a low sensitivity, and it will collect all light seen throughout the duration of the exposure. They use a variety of LED lights to create the different light forms, from single diods to rod-like lights. The reason their bodies don't really show up is because they are moving the whole time and don't have much if any light reflecting off of them. The one's where you see their silhouettes I am assuming they used a flash to freeze the body position on the film. I tried doing somewhat similar stuff over the past year, not nearly as intense or inspiring as this stuff though.
