I would think you would want to do this with deep dish rims.. Not in the inside of the rim.. Cant really even see it.

I think its cool. If it was on the dish it would be to noticeable, this way it's there but its not taking anything away from the natural aesthetics of the wheel.

That's exactly the word I was gonna use, "subtle"; it's not in your face and kind of intriguing and classy as a result. I like it - a lot!

I would leave the calipers a plain bright colour though, I think it adds good contrast and a shot of colour.
