Dude, its a DSM - if the engine hasn't been rebuilt already, it will need to be eventually. A Kinder Surprise toy is more reliable than these cars, not to infer that they aren't insanely fun and fast..

Now now... not ALL are that bad. I'd say it is more hit and miss. I drove one for three years, and did nothing but change the oil.

But he's right OP - they aren't TYPICALLY the most reliable. I would try to find one with warranty left on the rebuild.

Personally, there are not a lot of early 90's cars I would spend that kind of money on. But that's just personal choice; after all, I DO have a z32...

My advice would be to stay away from talons...a buddy of mine spent a tone of money on his and it just kept on breaking down. Nice car, fun to drive but not worth the time and money.

You make it sound like you know nothing about them, want to own one, etc. yet it says you drive a 93 talon under "what I drive". So you already have one? :dunno:

why not buy something cheap and mod it yourself?

Look at all three of them, but definitely get them inspected by someone who knows DSMs.

I would go with number 2, that is plenty of car for the money.
