Well, my sister crashed the Focus I sold her last summer. Great car, lots of maintainence done (new front pads/rotors, new struts all around, swaybar endlinks, timing belt and water pump, battery, all which I did myself) and the real kicker is a set of altimax general winter tires with under 1000kms on them recently purchased for $600.
The car is STILL drivable. It tracks perfectly fine as far as I can tell (we flat towed it back to the house). It is NOT written off, and it does NOT have rebuilt status. If somebody had the means, this car is perfectly capable of being a driver again. Has under 200,000kms on it, gets decent gas mileage, stupid reliable. Oil was recently changed as well I believe. Car is located in Red Deer, and I can be reached through [email protected] Looking for $1000obo (and yes, price can be reduced if you don't want the winters).
