also, what courses do you usually have to have completed for a job in a specific concentration?

Only ever seen them online at the Haskayne career site. Depends on your concentration but the vast majority of them are for 3rd year students. I've never met a employer that actually cared what your classes were for summer. Full-time is a different story.
