Just saw a billboard in Airdrie, saying free coffee all day at McDonalds from march 1st to the 14th? I think it said.

So anyways, Drink up if it's your cup of tea :D

Did it mention a size restraint? Or whether or not you have to purchase something with it?

Well, I tried to look at the tiny ass writing on the billboard, and I THINK it said small, but I'm not totally sure.

It's small, unless otherwise requested.

Yeah, I gotta say, I will take Mcdonalds coffee over any place, and I consider myself a "coffee drinker". At home, I have tried quite a few different blends from Starbucks, Second Cup etc, still end up having the Presidents Choice coffee - excellent. I want to try kicking horse coffee though, I heard that is excellent. I used to be a Tim Hortons coffee loyalist, but now I drink it only if there is no Mcdonalds around.

Oh yeah, my favorite "london fogs", are from 7-11! Two Earl Grey Teabags, pour in "latte mix" from the machine, one pump of vanilla, awesome! Better than anywhere else imo!

Universities get paid millions every year by Pepsi or Coke for exclusivity rights.

A&W serves Coke, I don't see why McDonalds couldn't do the same

Kicking Horse is really good. The Three Sisters Blend is decent for a medium roast... If you like a bolder cup, try Grizzly Claw.

witch one is better for you? bold or medium whats the diffrence in roast thx

Light roast has more caffeine because the caffeine isn't all roasted out.

Looks like it depends where you go, but rules seem to be for a small. If you get a larger one then maybe the employee doesn't give a crap.

We should start posting locations where free large coffees are given out without purchases. :D

Why does this have to coincide with the rolling up of rims? it's not fair.

That's a negative on the free large @ 36th street NE location (regardless if i was buying food or not). So I have a Large and a Small coffee :bigpimp:

^^

I went there this morning and ordered the muffin and small coffee deal. I asked if I can get a Large instead and she gave it to me. This was at the drive-thru.

RX_EVOLV
03-04-2010, 11:52 AM
^^ they still charge you for the full muffiin and coffee deal? or just for the muffin?

cdnsir
03-04-2010, 12:09 PM
I think just the muffin. The total was $1.04 instead of the combo price of $1.39+tax.

they never fucking make it right and all the employee's seem like it's such hard work to pour a coffee.

I won't go back because of the shitty service over ONE free small coffee. A marketing ploy to get you to try it and come back for it.

It's not so bad, you have 2 options:
1) Buy a coffee and possibly then win a free coffee
2) Get a free coffee in the first place

Really, it's just like roll up the rim to win, except you always win :D

lol.

On a sidenote, Tim Hortons service is pretty bad too. They never stir the fucking coffee and I always need to get a stir stick.

And the way the cream and sugar system works is that there is a machine for both cream and sugar that has a button for SMALL, MEDIUM, LRG, XLRG. All they need to do for a Double-Double for example is press cream twice for a size, and press sugar twice for a size.

Half the time when the sugar or cream is about to be out, they're too lazy to get a new bag of cream or sugar and just end up giving you whatever was left before it runs out.

Summer is where it's worse because you get a bunch of kids working there too.
