So I'm currently in my first year in SAIT ITSD (software development) and will be going to University afterwards to finish off with a degree. I'm hoping to find a summer job this summer just to get some work experience in the industry but I'm not sure that any company will be hiring any students that are in first year.

I fired off an email to SMART technologies because they were at the SAIT job fair and they said they sometimes to hire students in the summer.

I was just wondering if anyone here knew a company that would consider in hiring first year students or should I wait until next year.

Sasktel are desperate for people, at least that's what I've been hearing.

I'm in the first year Networking major at SAIT and wondering there are jobs as well. I'll do anything related to IT such as help desk.

Guys look up Acrodex or Calgary Airport Authority. The CAA usually hires summer students.

Not 100% on Acrodex summer student openings, but worth a shot.
