I'm looking at purchasing a BMW 328is from Precision Hyundai but I'm not sure if I can trust these guys or not?? Does anyone have any experience from this dealer? How reliable is a 328is? What shops do you reccomend for service or maint' on a BMW? What are things to look out for? Thanks for the help

dont buy that one...has a bunch of little things that need repairs, when i heard it didnt sound too good when fired up..last time i checked they were asking way way too much.

328is great car...especially e36 model, which your looking at are great looking cars, and can get plenty done to em.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I checked that car out with Jaret (ryder_23) and it's a wreck. Look closely at the strut mounts in the front, they're all fucked up and they quality in which they were repaired is shotty. The hood was repainted; both fog lamps are broken, the cell phone is broken; the alarm doesn't work right; the rear hatch lock area is scratched to shit; the SRS ABS logo for the side airbags is missing; and the a-pillar where the cellphone mic is ripped and the mount is pretty much destroyed.

Needless to say, I checked that car out twice, and both times, I looked at EVERYTHING with the help of Jaret. Stay far, far, far away from those untrustworthy liars. Actually... I shouldn't call them liars... cause both the guys I talked to knew shit all about the car.

Goodluck. If you would like some contacts to where you can buy BMW's... shoot me a PM.

Good thing I have a two year mechanical warranty. Already used it twice -- not a single cent out of my pocket. :D

How about a 98 M3 sedan? I test-drove this one in mid-September at the BMW Gallery. Has the BMW Certified Pre-owned warranty through April 2004 or 120,000 km. The car has 76,xxx km and is in showroom condition, 100% stock.

I don't know how long it sat on the lot but it had just been reduced from $42,900 to $39,900 when I inquired.

Two weeks ago, it was in the Herald classifieds for $38,900. Make them an offer and see what happens. It's been sitting on the lot for a loooong time!

Good luck with your search!

Gees, good thing I made a post. Just to make sure, the car you are referring to is that silver one right? They have another one now and its Black but in rough shape.

FiveFreshFish: That car looks mint but its a little out of my price range.. I'm looking more arount $25 ish,

XylathaneGTR: Does this gallery place have a website? What car might they have that I am interested in?

dont buy a used one.
330i's are nice. but the old ones they are ok.
i had a 1999 one for about a year and half.
well no matter what they are BMW.
so you can rely on them. the only problem is the maintainence is really expensive.
so you might want to think about it.

go www.bmw.ca

see their used cars list in Calgary .... (or whereever you locate)

Price won't be cheap to buy in a dealership, (whatever buy a honda in a honda store, a toyota in a toyota store !) but for sure you could get a good and straight one ! with warranty and special % rate !
P.S. eastern cars are always 15% less $$ due to their overall condition.

:D

or ... $25K .. you can get a Brand New Mini Cooper ! it is not a BMW, but lots of Fun as well ! :bigpimp:

I would suggest still checking it out and maybe thinking about signing into a lease...If you ride in an M3, you'll fall inlove...trust me

And DONT buy a 318... I cannot stress this enough...

Thanks for the help guys. There is another M3 for sale at ZRauto.ca, Actually they have 4 for sale but the one I'm going to check out is the black 1997 for $29K. It looks pretty good from the pictures, aside from the interior material used on the seats??
