esprit was one of my most favorite cars when i was younger, moreso the late 80s body style, anything with that low front-short cabin height-square rear look from the 80s i.e Detomaso Pantera, ferrari 288, heck even the delorean

Depends on what time, we eat there most every day...yes it's the ambiance...

He was showing the manager before I got there. I don't think he'd ever sell it, loves it. Mine's in the middle of an engine rebuild so he let me take it for a rip to 'get it out of my system' lol

Hello all,

Glad to see the car has brought so many cool comments/remarks. I am the owner of the vehicle in question and I decided to bring it out early this year to get more driving time in and to enjoy what the vehicle has to offer. I once read that "...what good is a rare vehicle kept in a garage as it is unknown to anyone but the owner..." So that is why I believe if I have it out anyone can appriciate it.

Yep I do love that Cactus Club...for the food...yeah thats it the food is great..never noticed the servers before.

I had the car in a few car shows last year (Radium and and High River) so love to talk about it, if you see me in the parking lot feel free to come up and ask me anything (No you will not get the keys but if I got time I will take you for a spin). Planning lots of road trips this year with some of the other Lotus owners and a few Porsche owners, so watch for that convoy. Oh if you come up on the passenger side in traffice and try to get my attention, I not being rude..the power window does not work.

FYI: The car is a 2001, 3.5L twin turbo V8 got a chip so about 400 hp, 350 stock and 0-60 in 4.2. Only 1,686 V8 turbos in the whole world (1996-2004), total in N. America 636 so Calgary is a pretty lucky city to have several of them. m10-power knows most of the guys. He is hoping to push out after his mods 500+ hp. Now that is just insane. He is use to the track and the additionl ponies, he has over 500 hp in is BMW right now.

I would lean more to the "sorry" end of the scale vs. happy. Trouble with the cars is no one can really work on them and do a good job, or they over charge you and still do a crappy job. So I do what I can myself (lots of reading older manuals) but when I do need help for the big jobs I have a pretty good support group. Get lots of good deals on the 944 Turbo parts on ebay...seems like someone always crashing one. The power in that 4 cylinder turbo is sometime misleading. And Lotus parts are not over priced and still available as my vehicle is only a 2001.

So I even though I wonder why...why...oh god why, all I do is get in one of them and drive and I get my answer, and it is all worth it...until I break down at the side of the road
