View Full Version : Born blind or born as an intersex?

If you had to live with one condition for your entire life which would you settle with? 1 in every 2000 babies born are intersex. 1 in every 5000 babies are born blind. Very surprising.

Having a penis. SO MUCH POWER.

Being blind would suck, but would there's probably some crazy technology being made to help correct that....

That's a tough one man. I can't imagine life in either situation.

i would definitely choose to be born intersex. aside from the ridicule you may encounter as a kid (which everyone experiences anyhow), it's really not that big of a deal. sight, on the other hand, is IMO necessary. i honestly think i would kill myself if i went blind.

(plus, it just might be fun to have both parts :poosie: )

how is this even a question? Eyesight is the worst sense to lose. And WTF is intersex? A tranny? Yeah I’d rather be a tranny any day. No debate, not even close. Not even in the ballpark IMO.

For some reason when i read this i thought of:

"If you play with it, you will go blind" lol

I think I would go with the tranny/intersex/confused as fuck. Without my eyes, a quick death would be in order.

Intersex means youre born with no gender. You're basically half and half.

So a dick and a vag? Or no dick and no vag at all? Or a mangled mess of the two?

This is a very important issue that has to be settled first.

What is so horrible about being blind? Yes it sucks, but it's not the end of the world. You can still go out and lead a full and productive life. Even though I do think it is easier to be born blind, and have no idea what you're missing, then to go blind later in life.

^I'd much rather not have sex for fear of being exposed then being denied the divine gift of sight.

To the OP, bored much? lol

At least being born as an intersex, if someone tells you to fuck yourself, you can lol and say "did it this morning"

One word. Internet.
Not being able to see means you get no access to it, and you're left behind in a lot of things. plus porn is awesome, and i couldnt deal with just hearing porn..that'd be kinda weird.

Yeah, don't even think that's a question worth asking. If I went blind I don't think I'd even want to live.

There already is technology that is giving people some of their sight back.

I'd give up anything for my sight, unless maybe the alternative was being a vegetable or similar.

Yeah, but at this point, coping with blindness would be very, very difficult. If you had it since birth, then you have had time to adapt.

But for me, it isn't a question either. I'd rather deal with whatever fucked up sexual/gender issue I might have rather than being blind.

I concur on this.

Everyone needs to keep in mind the traumas that being messed up sexually causes psychologically especially at a young age.
Confidence
Happiness
Esteem
You would have none of that, knowing you are so different and you are missing out on what is essentially the purpose of life (To further the human race via procreation)
People who are transgendered later in life do not have these issues to the same extent because they made a choice to be like that.
Is a life of sexual misery and possible ridicule combined with instant disgust of people who are not very understanding worth having your sight? Seems like it would be a very lonely life style for someone who didn't choose it.

Blind people are generally accepted by the public without any animosity, at least you would be able to potentially have girl friends especially if you skip the visual attraction stage of a relationship, being blind would likely make a human much less judgemental on the physical side. Erasing visible differences amongst humans in general would allow focus to be put on who people are in general. Seems much more attractive then being socially shunned to me.

This.

All of a sudden losing your sight is one thing, but to be born without sight from the beginning is another.

In which case, I could handle being with the ugliest woman in the world - as per that other follow-up thread. I'd be quite happy about not having to "switch sides".... :)

But then there would be no point in asking for Pics on Beyond from anything and everything that remotely resembled being a female.

Yes you have both and you have tits too and have mens facial hair. What's worse is people no being able to tell if you're a boy or girl. Could you imagine all the wierd looks and questions you would get on a daily basis? Like the previois poster said, it would be severely depressing.

At least being blind you can cope, but I don't think I could live life everyday being asked the same questions everyday.

You do realize that doctors do assign the sex for most intersexed babies so they end up having either completely male parts or female parts. Intersexed babies are usually born with both male and female genitalia, but neither are developed fully. It's only when they get older, like in their teens that if they were assigned the wrong sex that they start to get confused. It's not like if you were intersexed you have both complete pussy and dick and have tits but also have an Adams apple, hair on their chest, facial hair and a low voice. 1 of 100 babies are born with some condition of intersex.

Being blind would be 100x worse for me imo.

Being blind at a young age doesn't get you social acceptance at all. Kids make fun of you still and I think you'll be much more socially outcasted than an intersexed person. At least if you were intersexed developed the other sexes traits, it usually doesn't happen until puberty, you still have 10-12 years of being normal. If it really gets to a point where you do a complete gender reversal, you could just move schools and nobody would notice. Being blind means you'll probably be socially outcasted until you are an adult. I remember a girl in a wheel chair and a guy with autism through elementary to high school and they were never socially accepted, being handicapped rarely gets you social acceptance until a later part of life.

12 years is a lot shorter than the other 88 years of social unnaceptance.
Being intersexed in HS also means you would likely miss out on all those magical HS first memories ( First kiss, First time etc...)
At least if you're blind you have nothing to hide and there is no risk of being caught for your giant secret which can be much more stressful than anything else. Then there's the whole showering after a foot ball game thing, that could be awkward if you had twice the reproductive organs of everyone else. Think of the kids in HS who turned out to be gay. They were always a bit stressed and edgy because they were hiding something the whole time. Out little imaginary intersexed hero would probably be feeling the same way.
This is opposed to the blind kid whom everyone knows is blind. As such, his personality and likely physical appearance would dictate where he fits in the social hierarchy. If the kid was a cool guy than people would likely accept if regardless if he was blind.

I just can't imagine the intersex guy even having the remote possibility of having the potential the blind kid has for fitting in, the stigma of being so different and having to hide it would just be awful.

I honestly doubt being intersexed would make it difficult to do any of that 'highschool stuff', and if you're blind you dont get to play on the football team at all, so how is that beneficial?

Also, I would hardly think that disabled kids in school are better accepted than someone who is seemingly normal aside from their intergender-ness. Most disabled kids are put in to the special programs for special learning needs and they hardly have a chance to make it into the normal highschool hierarchy of even being classified in cool or not cool anyways.

Ok, really, there was a blind girl in my High School and I'm pretty sure that nobody at all talked to her, as far as it seems she didn't have a single friend. Just to clear up that matter.
