Just wondering if anyone works there and what's your take on the culture, compensation etc.

I'm currently at one of the Major multinationals, looking to see if its worth going to a smaller mid-sized company.

it waS ranked as one of the best companies to work for...so it must be a good environment.

what position are u looking to go into at EOG?

I did a little digging, EOG moved from 64 to 40th place in Fortune's 100 best companies to work for. Devon Energy went from 48th to 13th between the same 2008 & 2009 periods.

I'm not sure how much those rankings count as I work for a company who's been on Canada's 100 Top Employer list for 9 years in a row.

I've worked for a US based midsized E&P before, and I really enjoyed the environment. It was known as compensating well for performance (Burlington Resources).

The potential position at EOG is a SCM Team lead position specific to D&C.

in case your wondering what EOG stands for
"Enron Oil and Gas" yes as in that enron. But hey they do fine so I would work there.

300rwhp - yup, I think it was back in '99 when EOG was spun off from Enron. I thought that was funny when looking up its history.

bubbley - thanks for your input

EOG have a nice position in the Horn River Shale, that's about all I know about them.
