Does anyone know of anywhere in Calgary where adult swimming lessons are offered? Thanks.

Oddly, I never learned either....

Growing up in BC, that is pretty weird.

GOOGLE.CA
search: Swimming Lessons in Calgary

if you want to learn quickly and take a shortcut jump in a deep pool and do what you think or see others do you might drown or you might learn.:dunno:

^^Which essentially is the equivalent of outrunning a quadriplegic.

A swim instructor got so fed up with me being scared of the water, that he just dropped me in the deep end with one arm floaty. Went in circles for a bit, but learned to use my feet day one, and arms day two. Day three i was gravy.

Haha, the only reason i said that was because the OP seems to troll every thread that he posts in. Why not give a little back to him?

+1

Only paid 80 dollars for 7 lessons last time and I learned a few things here and there.

Funny how Banerjee still lies about his times, they were pretty average:

100M Breaststroke 8/5/2000 1:16.30p
200M Breaststroke 8/3/2000 2:58.90p

At the same age, Mike Brown was 100 M in 1:05 ish I think. Now that's fast for a 14/15 yo.

Swimming requires discipline and dedication to learn and practice swimming skills, including stroke technique, kicking skills, and putting the two together to swim fast. Swimming fast also requires appropriate aerobic conditioning and speed training.

I've taken lessons at the Refrew Renfrew centre and right now i'm taking lessons at the Thornhill Recreation and Acquatic Centre. These are city of Calgary programs and they have many times available. Super cheap too.

I remember taking swimming lessons in school... They would ALWAYS fail me, never passed a single one.

Would take it in summer, passed easily. Thorncliffe was a bunch of assholes.
