i grew up poor as shit. i didnt have my license but my mom said she would buy me a car. a 1985 hyundai pony with a casette deck and 2 15" subs for 400 bucks. turned out she couldnt afford it and she bought me a snoop doggy dogg "doggystyle" t-shirt for my 16th bday.

my 16th birthday was a cheap home stereo. 18th birthday was 1 beer. 21st was a happy bday and dishes for the house. 25th bday didnt even get a happy birthday let alone a card. I like many grew up with family that was not well off by any means. I couldnt imagine getting this for a birthday, hell i'm super stoked when i get a bag of socks, a pack of smokes and a tims card!

Truth. I was friends with a bunch of Strath kids that got Benzs and Bimmers in H.S.

Many of them entered University with me and most of them dropped out the first year. Nothing like not being able to make it on your own once Mommy & Daddy can no longer pave your way through life.
