My laptop came with MS WIN VISTA HOME PREMIUM. Meanwhile, I have misplaced the recovery discs.

Thanks but in my case no. I was installing a fresh copy of MS WIN MEDIA CENTER 2005 and now having driver issues most likely causing internet connection not working. Hence the need to re-install VISTA.
