For anybody who has taken spring or summer classes before

Is taking 2 classes in spring too much...to the point that I won't be able to enjoy my summer?

I want to declare a minor in SOCI and want to take 2 classes in spring and 1 in summer.

But I thought i'd see if anybody out there has any advice...

Just don't go three, unless you feel like sitting and studying 24/7 depending on the course.

WHICH soci courses are you taking?

For SPRING:
1. Soci of Health and Illness: SOCI 321
2. Intro to Criminal Justice: SOCI 327 or Social Stratification: SOCI 365 (i'm going to go to both classes and see which is better/easier)

For SUMMER:
Sociology of Gender Relations: SOCI 303

Not so bad at all. 2 spring classes easily doable while you can still enjoy your spring. Although it does feel like you're hindering your ability to have fun sometimes.

go look at the course description of soci 303 on student center. you'll notice that it ends on july 23rd, when all other summer courses normally end around mid-august.

I was wondering the same as the OP.
I am registered in Comms 363 and ARKY 325 in the spring and FNCE 443 in the summer. Is this to much to handle with a full time summer internship at an oil company ?

what do you guys think

I took three last spring and it was pretty easy, it just depends on your courses, I had STAS 241, Film 201 and Knes 201, got a B+, A and A- respectively, and it was a decent amount of work but it goes by really quick. I actually really enjoy the spring courses.

Coms was awesome/easy, I did 361 though, did a bunch of presentations on South Park and one on the environment. Pretty fun and not much work other than putting together a couple of powerpoints.

Where do you guys usually park during spring/summer?

Anybody else taking CHEM203 this spring?

I'll probably just drop it if I don't feel like doing it. No rush.

for those that have taken spring classes, are they easier relative to normal fall/winter semester calsses?

I have heard from a couple people who for example took stats 2262 during the winter/fall and had to withdraw (because it was hard) then took it during the spring and got an A. Im thinking of taking a couple spring classes, but only if there is a benefit haha.
