that movie is based on the comic Kick-ass which is more violence and less comedy. I would recommend the comic over the movie any day.

Movie was pretty good. Kinda like Kill Bill with a bit of Superbad. I didn't expect it to be so violent, so it wasn't too cheesy, which was awesome. Hit Girls kills were wicked and sometimes hilarious.

ok i saw this tonight with my kid and let me tell you this movie aint for little kids. i had to tell my kid to close his eyes a few parts. but over all i fucken love this movie sooo fucken much, im not gonna dl it im going to buy it on dvd!! im not going to lie but i did cry about 5 times thru out the movie because i see myself being close to my daughter lol i love this movie. i can wait for part 2. to be honest i thought this was a kids movies cuz you know super-heros + little girl + humor = kids movies i thought :(

The movie was hilarious and hit girl was OG. As said above her kills were awesome, the in air clip reload was pretty cool.

Did anyone else find Nick Cage a little creepy? It weirded me out with the whole pedophile talking "child"

Without knowing it was a comic or anything about the background, I went to watch this on the weekend. I totally thought it'll be another goofy comedy. BUT IT WAS NOTHING THAT I HAD EXPECTED IT TO BE!!! And in one word, it's AWESOME! The plot, the dark humor, the killshots... Wow! It was the best thing I've watched since Avatar.

And not to hype her up too much, but Hit Girl is the best character ever! Maybe it was just a great job on the casting, but that little girl that plays her is sick and psychotic all rolled up into a cute little package. She was hilarious and completely stole the show, loved her!

Haven't seen Hot Tub Time Machine yet I gotta say, Kick Ass if fucking awesome! I'm hoping to watch it again in theatres soon, so worth it...EVERYTHING about it was so original...a perfect parody of those lame ass run of the mill formulaic Superhero movies...it is essentially Superbad meets Kill Bill :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

It was ok, nothing special. Clip reload was homage to God of Gamblers 2 if anyone actually cares. Anyway, the movie had a few laughs; the action was actually mildly entertaining and not boring which is currently a rather rare experience. The way the story was developed should have been opposite with the main story revolving around BD and Hit Girl with the background story being about Kick-Ass. The entire high school love interest part was pointless, a waste of time and killed the mood/pacing of the movie. Obviously created to cater to the teenage movie going crowd. Worth picking up for $1.99 with a Pizza 73 order.
