Athabasca Uni: Finance

I'm thinking about taking FNCE317 online through Athabasca university this spring (AU's equivalent is FNCE 234).Has anyone taken this course at AU before? Looks like its only one test (final exam 40%) so it doesn't seem so bad!

The only issue may be acutually getting permission, haskayne undergrad requirements for study at another institution state the course can only be a Non-Commerce option, however I know people that have done their accounting and stuff through AU so it must be possible..

any insight?

um... I don't think AU'S finance 234 is equivalence to Finance 317. According to the ACAT, you cannot take finance 317 outside of U of C.

Just finished Fin 234 at Athabasca. I am by no means a Finance guy, it was a mandatory class. It was by far one of the hardest classes i have ever taken, i worked my ass off and got a C minus. I would have benefited from actually being in a classroom on this one.:banghead:
