I remember a place that would take the paint you wanted and would put it into a spray can for you. Does anyone know if it's a specific shop that will do this or will pretty much any shop do this?

Paint you already own, or paint you buy from them?

Isnt it about $30.00 a can at these places tho??
Thats pretty pricey for the amount of paint you get.

It's paint from the shops. You give them the paint code and they put it into a spray can for you. I can't remember how much it was or who did it. Trying to see if it's worth it to get this done or if I should just take it to a shop.

A mate of mine quoted me 100 dollars a side just to have it painted. It's a rear lip that is two pieces. It's kind of like the mugen rear lip on a 5th gen lude.

Advance Auto Color and Body Shop Supplies

$18.95/can, give them paintcode, 20 mins later you have it in aerosol can

Yeah, $20 is a pretty good deal for perfectly matched paint, imo. If we're just talking about a small respray, that is by far the route I would go rather than pay hundreds to a bodyshop.

Damn it, how come all these shops are in the bloody NE!! :banghead:

Also, if you've used these guys, do I need a clear coat over top of this or are these like the ones where they have a clear coat mixed in with it?:dunno:

You can get it however you want it. Clearcoat is the same price as paint at Advance (I've used them twice, and am happy with the results of both)

^ SE, I was just going to suggest them. Look up "weldco", as they're one door north.

i remember i used a big paint place in calgary that does all the paint for napa auto parts. i think it was called cemax? they take a sample from your car and account for paint fade/aging as well. that's what i used for the lip kit on my old prelude and it looked flawless. two cans of paint and a can of clear were just under $40 if i remember correctly.

Who else has used these guys? 7 bux a can versus 20...I may be leaning towards them!

I use to work there, thats how I know, we supplied all the spray bombs for the cross iron mills.

bring your own paint in and they will usually have them pressed within the hour.

otherwise they do colormatch, but it is best that you bring in your automotive paint.
