Ok so I have to print the invitations for our wedding this summer. Fiancee went and bought some stupid expensive paper with a nice embossed design on two edges. Decide to use our kodak easy share 5500 to print it.
Think again. Every time i load the paper correctly it tells me 'paper loaded incorrectly' and spits it out. If i put it in upside down it prints no problem but its on the back side of the paper. Absolutely insane.
I call their help desk which was a huge F off mistake. I get some guy who barely speaks english and tells me to go ahead and load a piece of kodak brand paper and see if it works. I tell him it works with any paper but this stuff so I really don't care if it works on other paper. Basically he can't understand that I want to print on this paper. He still tells me to go buy kodak paper and it should work, I snap, swear and hang up.
I can back again and get yet another guy half way around the work. I explain the problem exactly and somehow he thinks I am having trouble photocopying. I finally get the point across and he understands its the paper and he tells me that their printer have a print sensor and the paper must be incompatible and he can't help me.
So I guess the face of this paper is incompatible but the back side is not. You can't get an english speaking person and if there is a problem they will pretty much tell you that you're fucked because its not kodak print media.
CLIFF NOTES : FUCK KODAK.
