Hi Fellas,

I'm sick of paying $150++ for keeper gloves in town.
Any of you purchased gloves from the States/Overseas? What was duty? Shipping? So many use UPS, and I won't.

I'm having a difficult time finding a place in Canada for gloves. For everything else in your kit, it's easy to buy online in Canada.

I've mostly been an Uhlsport guy, but I'm open to others..

Thanks in advance!

Cam

I use soccer.com quite a bit.

Make sure to check that it is a gift and you won't get raped with brokerage fees.

Thanks for the reply.
Ya I was browsing soccer.com last night. They seem to be much more than Europe... I'd like to try a pair of SELLS..
Which do you use? I'd prefer to purchase a couple pairs - 1 training & 1 match.

If this site had these Ultimates in stock, I'd buy em in a heart beat. No way to contact them. (broken emails)

shopadidas.ca

They advertise on redflagdeals when they have their 40-50% off sales. Ships from Canada.

I've been on that site a few times over the years, and just looked again. Once again, it's good for everything BUT gloves. <sigh>

The %40-50 sale is awesome though.
(I'll have to watch redflag for their next sale, for cleats)

Thanks!

Did you make sure you checked off the box for a gift?

I also always write "Happy Birthday!!" in the caption box.

Speaking of football (soccer) what out door leagues do you guys normally play?

I play in a league through CUSA.

They have various divisions for everything from the casual player right up to fairly competitive.

I've bought gear from this store before:

http://www.worldsoccershop.com/

Their prices are very competitive and the shipping is not too bad.

An update..

I got the gloves 4 weeks after ordering. Considering it's from an American site, and this is high season for ordering, I think that's a fair turnaround.

There was no duty - the gloves were shipped with USPS. Both were Rinat'.

I'm considering ordering another pair, a new pair of indoor shoes, and some compression shorts.

I've used worldsoccershop, even returned something and they were fairly good. However, recently my friend showed me a site called www.prodirectsoccer.com and although I haven't ordered anything yet (although my friends have and were satisfied), the prices seem pretty good with a greater selection of gear.

That site is out of the U.K.
What sort of duty/shipping etc; did your friend pay?

4 weeks is crazy long...

I typically end up paying express shipping because after ~$200 it is actually cheaper than normal shipping. I usually get my shoes in under a week (2-4 days).

Vapour 6's were on my feet before anywhere else in Calgary had them in.

I went to kitbag.com. I had three thirds and goalie gloves shipped UPS with in less then a week. But I wasn't able to check off gift anywhere so I had to pay the duty (18%)

My friend got his stuff from www.prodirectsoccer.com as well. He had his stuff in one week, with no duty. I will for sure be getting my gear from this site next.
