Canadian Grand Prix - good hotels?

Me and a buddy are planning on going to the Canadian GP this year. I don't much about Montreal or where the GP is or anything.. any suggestions for hotels to stay in? Something within walking distance could be nice, but mostly we just want to stay in the general area so we don't need to spend a couple hours on transit to go out.

It'd also be a bonus if the hotel is in an area with good nightlife

were just staying at the Holiday Inn downtown... its pretty close to the track and some of the action so we wont need to rent a car or anything

if i were you id book REALLY soon... when we were booking things were selling really fast and it was starting to get really expensive... so prepare to be gouged a little bit on pricing.

yikes you're going to pay a bit now I think
I booked since last year at a small hotel called hotel st.denis
Try and get somewhere close to the subway station, perhaps Berri Station as that will carry you directly to the track.
