We're in the market for a family mover, but don't really want a minivan. What other vehicles besides the Mazda 5 can carry more than 6 passengers?

Fuck yeah! And if you take out one row of seats, you still have comfortable seating for nine, or up to 12 in a pinch, plus a large cargo space where the final row of seats used to be.

Great towing capacity, good view of the road. Pretty much the best vehicle ever.

How adverse are you to the idea of putting people in the trunk? :nut:

Yukon Denali XL, great vehicles. Very comfortable, lots of power when you need it.
Mine seats 8 and being the XL version there is still plenty of cargo room behind the rear seat.

Edit: Just thought I would add to this that these are very thirsty vehicles, you cant expect great fuel economy.

  Very true!

They say I should be getting 13 mpg city/19 mpg highway but I would bet it was more like 10 city and 14 highway if that in this beast!

most SUVs nowadays have a 2nd row seating option, but if you're carrying passengers only it's fine, no tall people in the back. If you want to carry luggage, i wish you good luck cuz there will be no space. I think for the best bet volume wise would be a minivan.

There's so many possibilities you have to narrow down your choices and preferences.:nut:

Good suggestion!

Just add some 20+ inch rims and lower it by 2 inches, then you have a PIMP Family hauler! :bigpimp:

We have a 03 Durango and it has been great with third row seating, but my kids are getting older. With 3rd row up though it compromises cargo space, by a lot. I have 2 boys and they both play hockey, we can barely fit their hockey gear in there. That being said we are currently in the market for a bigger SUV, thinking about getting the Yukon XL or Armada, I heard the new Sequioa's have more cargo space so we are going to take a look at that too.
