The episode where Hank is lying shot and bleeding in the parking lot.

And then this one. Absolutely sick endings.

While it makes me sad because I dont want it to end, I also don't want it to turn into Weeds where they are just continuing on with a dying story. Right now , if Breaking Bad was a movie, it's reaching its climax at the appropriate time, so it seems like a time to finish the story.

Anyone watched the season opener? I felt bad for Gale now. I like how they go back in time to show some bits and pieces of information to the story once a while. It really adds more depth to the story. Had they showed us these bits earlier I probably wouldn't pay attention to them since I wouldn't know the events that would happen later.

Gus finally showed his true face, what a monster. Looks like Jesse may be getting his shit together finally. Can't wait for the next episode.

This season has been a bit slow, last episode picked up the pace. They haven't fully explained the history of Gus and Tio yet. I'm sure we'll learn more. Hopefully we don't lose any of the cast. It's been great so far.

I think this is the best series I've ever seen. The acting, story, originality, etc. are all 10/10. I've never found an episode to be boring, either. If it's not action packed, it's interesting and important to some other cause. Love it. I hope there's a 4th.

I have a feeling that since he is part of the board at the hospital that he might have access to cameras. But if that was the case, why would he walk all the way up? Maybe just to tempt Walt?

I think Gus realized something was odd about the situation. Lets say Gus did poison Brock and Gus knew about the ricin the whole time. Jesse and Walt assumed they were the only ones who knew about the ricin, so when Jesse finds out Brock is poisoned, Gus is surprised he hasn't represented any rage towards Walt. So maybe when he is walking towards the car, he is slowly putting something together thinking "Why isn't Jesse mad at Walt? Why doesn't he want me to kill him? This situation is strange, I think Walt is involved in this meeting" From what I know, Gus didn't see him on the building, he was just thinking about the situation in general.

If Walt actually poisoned the kid, maybe Gus was thinking "Walt had a take in this, I don't like where this is going" (But I wish this wasn't true, I think Gus did it in the end)

Its a possibility. Gilligan describes the show Walt someone as a person you first love and slowly turn to hate as time goes on. The Heisenberg is taking over him and making decisions you'd never think a chemistry highschool teacher would do. Its a possibility, but I doubt thats what really happens... The timeframe is just too difficult to explain.

Gus threatened his whole family. What's one strangers ghetto kid compared to his two? He needed Jesse back on his side, and now he is. His little speech about Gus being a "master manipulator", meanwhile he's been attempting to do the same thing the whole season.

That's what I thought at first. Then Jesse would blame Walt for his plan backfiring on him again.

At some point I think Jesse would split from Walt because of what happened to his last girlfriend.

Does anyone miss the unexpected funny moments in the earlier seasons like the porta-potti, pizza on the roof? Beneke is the only one I noticed this season.

Also I found it way too weird that Walt admits that Gus is brilliant, that he is always 10 steps ahead of him. It seems like Walt is insecure about this, and has always tried to be the smartest man in every situation, I doubt he would admit this to anyone, especially Jesse

Then again, he was a faced with a live or death situation :P

Jesse clearly told Walt that he bought a new pack that morning, and transferred the ricin cig. over to the new pack, then went to work, then went to Saul's. He never saw the girl/kid when he bought a new pack.

Hrm, this season finale was just OK.

A few things don't make sense with the plot, and in general this episode seems discongruous with the rest of the season. The show is generally told from Walt's perspective, so usually the viewer sees and knows everything he knows. In the case of the lily in the valley poisoning the viewer was kept totally in the dark. The way they did that makes me believe it was a last minute plot change by the writing staff. It also wasn't explained how Walt got the ricin cigarette from Jesse. In fact, they explained in the episode prior how it would've been impossible... anyway, moving on...

The terminator scene was super cheesy. No two ways about it and totally out of character for the show. Breaking bad has historically been great for realistic gore, I dunno why they strayed away from that.

My other problem with the finale is that Tyrus goes into Caesar's room to look for bugs and cameras, but doesn't bother to check Caesar himself or the wheelchair? Unlikely. Everything about this episode was just "convenient," and that made it feel cheap to me. Oh well, next season is the last, I hope they really give the series the ending it deserves. I'm happy a show is taking the time to properly end itself instead of just throwing in filler and dragging out plots until it gets cancelled.

Clever
10-10-2011, 01:12 AM
I agree fully, I thought the same thing about how he missed the bomb. Also, I thought Face Off was a shitty episode title until that scene, it was indeed comedic, very inconsistent with how the show has been.
