tunedub is a unitronic dealer, apr and uni are on the same par.

Concept1 knows their parts, but NEVER actually let them touch your car.

Tunedub is definitely the way to go. Unitronic is a better chip anyway, AMAZING customer service as well.

There aren't any tunes available for your 2010 GTI yet though unfortunately, but I'd definitely recommend waiting.

Also, check out the forums here; www.vwvortex.com

Yeah, George (pronounced Hor-hay) at TuneDUB is the shit. Best VW/Audi guy in the city.

Revo FTW. Calgary Autoworks gave me the best experience in knowing whats going into my car, updates on the software, (DSG Flash, etc). They are also one of beyond's sponsors too. If I'm correct Revo is the only one with the DSG flash atm, which comes with better fuel management and etc with goodies the DSG comes with. So, yeah if your looking to know more about chip tuning, phone them up.

Also Concept1 told me there is no Stage 2+ LOL

APR will give you the lowest numbers (hp & tq) but not by too much. They're also probably the most reliable, but the WORST customer service ever.

REVO isn't bad, but I wouldn't recommend it. It isn't a bad file, but it's not very smooth at all, and not too reliable either.

I had REVO a while back, I thought it was good until I tried Unitronic. Uni was a lot lot smoother and the power was more consistent.

I have dynoed the car with the same mods at two different times with both chips. I lost the sheets, so don't believe me if you don't want too, but if you're interested;

With Revo STG 2 - 202 WHP & 252 WTQ

With Unitronic STG2 2 - 211 WHP - 268 WTQ

Does anyone have any experience with the GIAC chips?

Stage 2+ is just Stage 1+ with a CEL eliminator for a O2 sensor if you put in a test pipe.

I deal with Tune Dub, but bought my APR kit from Concept 1

I would recommend using Unitronics from Tune Dub though, it is a lot more flexible for mods then the APR one is.

GIAC is fantastic for the older 2.7T S4 motors, but for modern stuff Unitronics, then its a toss up between APR and REVO virtually nobody I know runs GIAC on newer cars.

My brother had GIAC in his 2002 1.8t. It's not a bad chip, but it's too aggressive and could do some damage to your car. Also, in his case, the ECU actually lost the chip. GIAC wouldn't reflash it again for him.

So, with my advice, he went to tunedub and got it done with Unitronic. While he was there, George fixed every fault there was with the car for free.

Best for sure. I never knew that his name was pronounced that way though. Now I feel stupid.

Both are acceptable. I've always pronounced it gee-orge and so does his girlfriend.
