Easy Kayak/Canoe routes nearby?

I just bought a kayak. I've paddled a few times before but am not very experienced. I'm looking for some good beginner lakes and rivers I can try out this spring/summer. Day trips and also trips where you can camp overnight, within a few hours drive. Thanks.

The trip from Nordegg to Rocky Mountain House is pretty nice, and to very technical.
Or closer to Home, the Bow river is excellent.
Either Ghost to Cochrane, Bearspaw to shouldice/Bowness, or Fish Creek to Policemans flats.
The Canoe club sells a great map of the bow.
