I'm thinking about getting an Talon Tsi AWD, and I'm relying on everybody's (especially the DSM guys') experience. What would be a fair price for a '93 Tsi AWD, loaded, and in good condition? Edmunds has it pegged at around $2400USD, and black book has it between $1500 and $4000 Canadian. I realize that these aren't representative of market value, so I'd like to know what you guys think.

TIA:burnout:

Yeah .. BlackBook is a just a guide, it is for dealers or wholesaler to buy and sell car, so G.S.T and P.S.T. should be added.

usually, Retail Price is about 15-20% more then Black Book wholesale price, or $2,000-$3,000 more, whatever is more. (if a wholesale price is $1,000, doesn't make sense to retail the car for just 15% more, right ?)

www.kellybluebook.com can give you a good idea, it is US base, however, it can shows you the Retail vs Wholesale(trade-in) value in different models

On some special car, ie: Older Porsche Turbo, Supra twin turbo, FD etc, their retail values are way more then blackbook values.
(a 94 Supra twin turbo, book value is $13K to $14K, however, some of them may sell for $40K plus ! 300% more then blackbook price ! and peole still still buy them ! )

Anyway, good luck ! Tsi is a good car for buck ! AWD is good for our winter too !
