I think thats a good first camera, I would try and talk her down in price, there are a lot of xsi and xti's for sale. Is the 18-55mm IS? Apparently the IS is a sharper lens than the non IS

She seemed pretty firm on the price. What would be a good price to offer?I dont NEED this camera so if its too high i can walk without hesitation.

I just always question the actual number of actuations people are quoting as there is no real of knowing how many. I mean we see it on ebay all the time. 1D Mark whatever only 500 actuations yet the camera is likely a few years old. Just be leary of the actuations since 50 shutter actuations is so easy to do.

Yeah. I've had my D3s since november and am probably at a couple thousand actuations. I also lent it to a friend to shoot a wedding, and it seems like any time I let someone pick it up they want to see how long it takes to fill the buffer at 11 fps.
That being said, nikon for eva.
